Just want to first say that I love the new Skip Intro feature and it made me get a lifetime Plex Pass!

Now as the title states I would like the ability to set the “Skip Intro” button to disappear after “X” amount of time about say 10-15 seconds. The reason is I and i’m sure other like to watch the intros sometimes especially (mainly) when it comes to anime. The “Skip Intro” button is distracting when I am trying to enjoy an intro.
Please add this feature when you can since I know it’s very low priority and just a minor gripe.
the skip intro button should only appear for a few seconds anyway.
there should probably be options for
- current default
- enable/disable skip globally
- always skip current show
- never skip current show
I agree. Sadly I didn’t see an option for it and when I watched a show i sat through the intro to see if it went away after a bit but didn’t.
Right? You think they would have put in a couple of options like that. Hopefully it will come latter.
my skip button goes away after ~5 seconds or so
if the skip button stays on the whole time, you may need to reanalyze the season, or open a new thread in the applicable forum section for whatever client you are using, along with both client and server logs.

Oh interesting so it was just mine messing up then. I tried it on my android and it works but it seems Plex for Windows isn’t having the button disappear. Restarted plex server and re installing plex for windows.
It varies by platform.
With Plex for Windows the button stays on for the duration of the introduction (my TV shows anyway).
With the LG SmartTV app it disappears after about 10 seconds due to LG limitations. This affects Netflix & other webOS apps too. A Plex employee mentioned this in a thread a couple days back.
