When editing a TV episode from the Home Screen, “poster” displays “backgrounds”, and “backgrounds” is empty. Correct behaviour would be that “poster” either displays the season posters, or is hidden, and “backgrounds” displays the possible backgrounds for the episode. This is not a new issue, I guess it’s been like that forever.
That’s because it’s a single episode.
Single episodes don’t have their own background so there are no backgrounds in that section to show and their “poster” is actually the episode image, not a “background”. When you change the poster you’re changing what image is used for the episode thumbnail and that’s a landscape orientation rather than a portrait orientation so that’s why it looks like a “background”.
The terminology in the UI just doesn’t really line up for episodes.
