I’m at all loss, the source files contain no actual hardcoded subs, the subs are always ‘unknown’ and this issue has arisen since the laste PMS update. I only want Subzero to deal with subtitles and somehow PMS now sees subtitles where there none, occasionally there are subs available for shows that have none either and I can’t figure out what is downloading them.
I’ve reinstalled entirely and recreated my database etc from scratch without Subzero as an agent recently.
Are you running Plex Media Server.exe as a Service or Scheduled task ?
I can see crashes in the intel hardware transcoder dll mfx_mft_h264ve_32.dll which is known to crash when Plex Media Server is run without a desktop as a service or scheduled task
Options available to you
do not run Plex Media Server as a service or scheduled task or via RDP, or
or disable hardware transcoder in server transcoder settings
I realised the logs I added were the wrong ones for the time being, but that sure could explain at least one type of crashing. What would you recommend for keeping the Plex Service running without desktop?
