I know there's really advanced python scripts as PlexWatch etc, but I'm still curious about one thing.

 

I have an wonderful, automated setup on a NAS at home. We're several individuals adding content to PMS from different sources. I'm surprised that there isn't more requests having a built in notification system. 

It could be as easy as a mail being sent when new content is added to plex.

 

Then all users can choose widely how they want to distribute the information using services as https://ifttt.com/

 

PlexWatch is really advanced and demanding setting up, for a relatively small feature.

This purpose was the exact reason I wrote nuVue for Android. No need to install anything else on your Plex server. Until something like this is integrated into Plex, you can see if nuVue fits the bill. Info at http://nuvueapp.com/
