I would like to see some form of email subscription where plex sends out an email to all users, family and friends, who are sharing your library, when the library is updated. The email will show what was added, ie movie title, music album, tv series with season and episode etc. It could even send out an email once a week, fortnight, month etc with a list of what was added instead of everytime it was updated. Id prefer everytime but im sure there are some people who wont!
The email itself would be formatted with the poster(s) and description(s) of the media added.

I don't know how practical this is... It would probably annoy many people--those types of email with much frequency are pretty annoying in general. Anyone could see whats new in your library simply by opening Plex and looking under Recently Added (or whatever it's called). If you ever add a lot of media in a short period, the email thing could really get out of hand. Or if you ever have some issue where media is deleted and added back (I once did a refresh when a drive was missing and emptied trash... everything was added back as new when the drive was reconnected)--things could go really wrong.
I understand where some would see benefit but I guess I can't see the practicality of it, generally--at least to justify all of the coding and testing that would be required.
but these are my thoughts, of course.
I would welcome this feature. Netflix sends me new movies so why not my own?
