Embedded subtitles suddenly stopped working on android

Recently the android player stopped displaying the embedded subtitles from my anime files, but if I choose to search and download different subs, then it works.
I’ve tested this on files that I’ve already watched with subs, and the subs do appear when playing through the PC plex web player.

You’re going to need to provide more details. Subs are working for me with that same version. mkv file, hevc, eac3 audio, ass or srt subtitles. Here’s an example.
