Enable commercial removal

I want to try removing commercials for recorded OTA TV shows. I followed the directions posted on the forum:

Removing Commercials from All Recordings

Automatic removal of commercials can be enabled for all your recordings in the DVR settings under under Settings > Server > Live TV & DVR in Plex Web App. From there, click on DVR Settings, then scroll down to Remove commercials. This is a global setting and will attempt to detect and remove commercials from all of your current scheduled recordings.

however under DVR Settings, when I scroll down and search, there is no button “Remove Commercials”.

Can you please advise where I can find this “Remove Commercials” button?

I have Plex Media server version 1.9.4.4325 and “Check for Updates” is greyed out.

What device are you running PMS on? I know commercial removal is not available on NAS devices etc…
Also 1.9.4.4325 is a very old version of PMS. Currently the latest release is 1.13.8.5395

Need to have at least 1.10.0.4516 to have the Remove Commercials feature.

Thanks for your help!

I uninstalled PMS and then re-installed and I now have the latest version. I found the “remove commercials” button and I look forward to seeing it in action!
