Is there a way to stop a video from being automatically minimised by Plex when it approaches the end?

IIRC this should currently only apply to the Android TV and Apple TV clients. There’s no option to control this behavior at the moment.
On Android TV at least, while you cannot stop the minimized view, you can click on it and it will go full screen again. It’s better than nothing.
FWIW, I hear the devs are working on something about this. I can’t recall the details, but I’d hope they are working to reverse the decision to minimize at credits, or at least allow a menu setting in the client to disable it.
I have NO source for this info, as I can’t be arsed to search through all the posts I’ve seen in the last month to check. So take my claim as if it’s pulled out of you-know-what.
Currently the only way to stop is to disable credit detection for the library, movie or show. As mentioned above you can click on the miniplayer to make it full screen again.
Thank you for that. I have done what you suggest, so hopefully it will have resolved the problem.
I also find this really annoying, jarring and immersion breaking
I have set the end credit detection to ‘never’ will this stop this for all existing library content that has probably already been scanned or just new additions ?

The server setting currently will only stop future markers from being detected.
If you don’t want to see it for things already detected turn it off in the library settings

Why doesn’t Plex just ship complete features? Forcing any file with end credits to minimize is stupid. Cool - let me spend 20 minutes figuring out how to disable this new feature that I get as a paid member.
Yeah, I’m still waiting for the promised* client-side setting where you can disable the video minimization. Currently, I watch a lot on my Shield, and that uses the minimize, while the rest of my media is consumed on the Plex-For-Windows app which doesn’t.
