Will the enhanced player ever support on-the-fly thumbnail previews? The native player does it and also Infuse’s own player does it.

Running latest PMS on Synology NAS and Player on AppleTV 4 with HomePod and have the same sound issues. Been there from day 1.
In the previous enhanced player version there was a strange behaviour that needed a 2-step method to get things working. I always watch movies with subs (not native English speaking).
To use HomePods, I had to quit Plex, go to ATV settings, choose HDMI audio output (because Airplay was chosen but not being used), click again on Airplay audio.
Going back into Plex, movie would play without subs, even if they were activated. Had to deactivate and reactivate them, but not in the drop down menu, in the main movie menu before playing.
And then everything would work.
With the latest version there’s improvement on the subs part, not the AirPlay part however.

Same here. The HomePod issue (specifically with Stereo Configuration) is pretty miserable. Hopefully there’s a fix soon.
I also have this problem where sometimes when i click on the right side of the remote it doesnt fast forward the 10 sec. the icon for the 10sec shows up but it doesnt actually forward. I have to force close plex from multitask and then open it again and then works fine.
I recently switched from Roku to Apple TV 4k for privacy settings reasons. I’ve been using ATV exclusively now for over 2 weeks and I have to say I liked the Roku version better. There are things missing in the ATV in comparison but the biggest complaint I have is AUDIO SYNC ISSUES. This only happens in Plex and only on the ATV.
The other complaint is one I have on both platforms when they moved to the new interface. I delete all my shows after I watch them. The new interfaces added a significant amount of clicks in order to do this, so it is much more inconvenient. In addition, the ATV version is even harder because you have to go out of the episode screen which takes you back to On Deck and of course since you watched it, it is no longer in the On Deck list. So then you have to find it elsewhere in order to delete it. Please address this in the design.
And if it matters, I am a lifetime subscription patron.
If you disable the enhanced player does it work for you?
I’m seeing 2 issues with the enhanced player on Apple TV 4k:
1 - recorded “Live TV” issues with the Plex enhanced player on Apple TV 4k drops frames. If you record OTA (in my case HDHomeRun over cable) it plays fine using the appleTV built in player. As soon as you enable the Plex Enhanced player, it drops frames (drives me nuts) and sometimes it goes totally to pixels.
2 - The latest Apple TV app (2.4 just released in July) is giving me playback issues on 480p (low def) recored media. If the show has a “black moment” (like where a commercial would be) it goes to pixels after the black moment. Again, change the player to AppleTv’s built in player and it’s fine.
Happy to provide log details (if someone tells me how !)
