so it’s not possible to turn off transcoding on live tv??
Is somebody using OpenPLI 6.2 with their enigma2 receiver? And is it working without any problems for you? Is it still visible in the Server settings under Live TV & DVR?
@andyblac1974 When i delete the plugin from enigma are there still some files left? I would like to completely remove the plugin before reflashing the image. I remember when i tried first time…Plex did autodetect the vu+ but then it suddenly disappeared again and i had to add the box manually with IP and Port. It just popped up shortly and then disappeared. I have to try again with that image but before i want to try to reinstall the Plugin from scratch.
look in /etc/enigma2/ for any DVB- files. delete them, that should reset the plugin. you can then re-setup.
it is transcoding if the device you’re playing the steam on does not support interlaced content, plex will transcode to de-interlace it.

I need help I got dm 500hd Enigma2 I cloudnt find hrtunerproxy or PlexDVRAPI in plugin feed download. After reading everyone else instructions I placed Hrtunerproxy and PlexDVRAPI in system plugins by following the instructions. But I am stuck on same error on both plugins new Hrtunerproxy and older version PlexDVRAPI. ‘No module named ArgParse’. Kindly guide me how can I resolve this error.
I progress one step forward by placing argparse.py in enigma main python files. But now I am stuck on new error even I restarted box serval time but still not going away. Kindly help please

Where and how exactly did you place the folder of HRTunerProxy?
I placed all files from HRTunerProxy/plugin to my dreambox DM 500hd /usr/lib//enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/HRTunerProxy
And I applied same file permission on this folder as other system plugins have.
Earlier I had argpaarse error which I resolved it and now I am stuck on this above one.
Please guide me if I missed anything.

I think you have to install argparse with opgk install. Not just by placing the py file on the receiver…i think there is still something missing. You have to search the thread, because somebody already had the same issue! Enigma2 support for Plex DVR/LiveTV!
opkg install python-argparse…but read the Post in the above link which i posted

Even as what guy tried, I try to install python-argparse ipk but i get this error

Try to make first:
opkg update
opkg upgrade
and then this should give you the name of the package:
opkg list |grep argparse
That did it for me! After deleting those files…i think there were only 2 files…i could add the vusolo4k again. But again just manually with ip and port. I think something with the autodetector in openpli 6.2 images is not working properly. With openatv i didnt have that problem before. Now it is not loosing the device anymore…it is stable.
However if i run the add a new device wizard, which triggers the autodetect. My previous added device is missing. The autodetect is messing something up. But now i can just reboot PMS and the device is connected again. But i could reproduce that all the time…just need to trigger the autodetect and my device is in missing state. But i can live with that!
Now i can try the xmltv import suggested by Miky.

i have a VU Ultimo4k with VTI on.
Plex and DVR work almost fine, but only almost…
Sometimes the soundtrack seems to be faulty, then plex only shows “none” under Audio. if i change the channel and open the same channel several times in a row, it will work again sometime. If it works once, it will work until I open the video again or change the channel.
How long does it take to open a channel?
When i click the playbutton it needs 14 sec until the blackscreen is shown. than another 14 sec later the picture and sometimes sounds appears.
Now its working fine, i made a factory reset from my Ultimo4k

I have installed the plugin in my VU+ Zero 4K running latest BlackHole image.
Everything went smooth and I have all the channels, EPG and everything listed in Plex. But I can’t play anything.
I get this error:
Playback Error
Unable to tune channel
I’ve been looking around for this message but I don’t see anything clear. Do I have to do some configuration elsewhere?

I’m having some kind of issue because now it appears as not connected
But if I load the IP address on chrome it shows a XML file.
Where is the problem here?

@kddc I have installed OpenVix, but I’m having a different problem now.
I can play live TV on the computer without issues, but the iOS app won’t stream and it’s showing a Code: -1 error
