EPG data lost all HD channel info

When I looked at the recording schedule this morning I noticed any future recordings(HD) were missing. I then looked at the settings and saw that none of the HD versions of channels were available. So I go through the delete/re-add process for my HDHomeRun Prime and when it gets added the HD channels are known and they show up, but they are not enabled, presumably because the EPG data for some reason does not line up with the channel lineup on the Prime. Running the channel scan on the Prime adds the HD versions and I can tune them using VLC, so I know the HD channels are available.

I have upgraded the PLEX Server to 1.7.1. It’s running on Ubuntu 17.04. Cox Communications is the cable provider.

Three letter cable provider starts with a C and ends with an x. ‘C o x’. I guess phonetically, a filter would catch that.

It appears guide data does not go past channel 802. HD versions are higher up.

I’m having this exact same issue - my provider is Frontier. Running latest 1.7.1 version on Windows. Any updates on this?

I am also running into this issue with Comcast, my channel list only goes up to 723. I might try rolling back to the previous 1.6.x release to see if that fixes it.

When I first discovered this issue, I did go back to a prior version and it didn’t help - the same issue cropped up, I also went back to a 1.6.x version, so it might be interesting if you have the same experience ad I did PDXSonic. I may try going back again just to confirm that was the case.

This is interesting; it appears to be even worse when I went back to 1.6.1. I get even fewer guide channels.

Same issue here. I have Charter as my cable provider.

I see there is an option to use xmltv listings in the settings - I wonder if we can use this as a workaround until this bug is fixed? Anyone tried this?

I have all the channels under 1000 back in my HDHomeRun list again. Which is a bit of a bummer since I was using Comcast’s new channel numbering (from 1000-1999) which had all the available channels together in their highest definition, since there are a few SD local channels that only show classic TV shows.

Has anyone checked for errors in the log file when the program guide is being fetched?

I just removed and readded my HDHomeRun and all the channels are showing up now.

I did see some errors in the log. Something about channel not added and duplicate id’s. I will have to download the logs again to get the messages. And I did just delete and re-add the HDHomeRun and unfortunately it is still missing lots of channels.

I went to add the HDHomeRun this morning and suddenly the guide data was matching with most of the channels that are scanned into the HDHomeRun. It still doesn’t look like the full channel list, but it does include the HD versions of channels that I use for recordings.

I deleted my HDHomeRun and then added it back in this morning. All channels are now mapping correctly and my EPG refreshed correctly. Not sure what happened over the past few days but apparently everything is back to normal.

I have once again lost access to HD versions of channels in the EPG and all future recordings are gone. If the primary method of setting up recordings is going to rely on the EPG, then it needs to be rock solid reliable. I would suggest adding a method to manually set up a recording by channel number if the EPG data is not gong to be reliable.

Me too on this. Lost the EPG. Windows version 7.1 server.

It appears that the “Local over the air” program guide is messed up.

Please please please fix!!

An update from yesterday… this morning I deleted my two HD Homerun devices and then added them. My channels are all back. I use “over the air” to.
