Using PMZ Version 1.5.5.3634 on Windows 7. Old symptoms were that EPG would only load when I deleted the DVR and re-added it. New symptoms: EPG loads but doesn’t have any information for HD channels, does show SD channels.
I’ve rebooted the computer, restarted my HDHomeRun PRIME, deleted the EPG databases and reloaded, rescanned the PRIME channels, all with no luck.
Any thoughts?
PS: Variations on this story have appeared in other posts but I wanted to add something that focused solely on the lack of HD channels
Same problem with the Verizon FIOS listing In Wash DC. Only SD channels are available in the guide.
So today I was able to delete the DVR, re-add it, and the HD channels were back in the EPG. Here’s hoping they stick this time.
@Soundsailor do you have Verizon FIOS? I am still having the issue after re-adding my HDhomerun and I only get data up to channel 215, anything after that is empty for me. FIOS HD channels are in the 500s so I am not getting SDs after 215 nor the HDs
Similar problem for me, the CW HD is just not available to select in the DVR channel list on the right and specific shows are gone like the Blacklist even though NBC is an available channel.
I’m on Comcast XFinity in the Chicagoland area and having same issues here. Yesterday I had access to HD version of channels in the Program Guide but today only SD. I even manually updated the Program Guide in the DVR settings of Plex Server but didn’t do anything to fix the issue. I’m growing to hate this Plex program guide. The HDHomeRun Prime guide has no issues showing both SD and HD channels and where I’ve had to resort to recording my HD content tonight. Luckily I also have a DVR membership through HDHomeRun for my Prime. This is the exact tuner that Plex is pulling channels from so it’s not the tuner causing this issue but rather the guide we are getting from Plex. I wish there was a way to use the program guide that comes from my HDHomeRun DVR which seems to be more complete and seems to go show upwards of 5 days or more in programming on channels.
I’m running Plex Server ver Version 1.5.3.3580 running on a Synology DS916+ NAS. I have the Enhanced Program Guide checked in the Plex DVR Settings section of the Plex Server. I have not updated to latest Plex version due to one not yet being available through the Synology DSM. I could download and manually update but choose to wait until Synology adds the Plex Package Update to ensure compatibility with the NAS.

UPDATE - I tried like others to delete my Plex DVR, add again and download guide but still not pulling HD channels. I decided to update all systems starting with the Synology DSM to ver DSM 6.1.1-15101 Update 2, then upgraded my Plex manually within my Synology DS916+ to version 1.6.1.3722. I tried to see if my HD channels were back after this but still only SD. From there I deleted the HDHomeRun BETA Setup app (for use if you are signed up for the HDHomerun DVR functions) I was running which was ver. 20170307beta1, downloaded and installed the latest BETA which is 20170512beta1, which completed a firmware update to the HDHomeRun Prime tuner. I then scanned for channels on the HDHomeRun Prime Setup app which pulled up all my channels same as before, no changes there. I then again deleted the Plex DVR within the Plex Server, added it back, added the HDHomeRun Prime, it scanned for all channels and this time instead of only having about 40 SD channels I had my entire list of about 550 channels matching the total amount of channels showing in my HDHomeRun Setup. I left the Enhanced Program Guide unchecked this time in the Plex DVR, and it started updating my Plex Program Guide and I again now have access to HD channels on the Plex and within the settings and showing tv show options for both HD and SD now.
I know I kinda went all in to fix a few things instead of one at a time to determine which item was the cause of the failed guide but was tired of messing with it so figured I’d just do it all and in the end I now have my HD channels back on Plex for recording on the DVR. I would suggest if you are having this issue of no HD channels in Plex, delete your current HDHomeRun Setup app, download the latest one, which may install new firmware to your device, which may allow Plex to again pick up the HD channels from it. I think out of all I did, maybe doing this step of installing the new HDHomeRun Setup app version which will update firmware on the tuner itself, may have been what fixed it. I think something in Plex wasn’t able to pull the HD channels from the HDHomeRun tuner and this update probably fixed it. Hope this info helps you guys out.
I’m having the same issue…
edit: after updating the EPG data, it seems it’s working again
