My program guide is empty. I do a “Refresh EPG” and it is still empty. I’ve rebooted the server, and nadda. I am running it inside my FreeNAS server 11 as a jail.
I fixed it. I had to reboot my HDHomerun Prime box. Since it recorded a new show yesterday, I didn’t anticipate that anything was wrong. I don’t understand how it ran out of programming guide 14 days ago, but still recorded a show yesterday, but it did! I will just leave this here in case anyone else runs into this issue. It would be SO NICE if Plex could provide email notifications for when things go wrong.
broken again, wiping the database and doing a refresh shows zero upcoming airings for my scheduled shows
Verizon fios program guide is broken. Channels are not being mapped correctly. First it recognizes it as Comcast which is incorrect and later only maps the first 24 channels. CNN and other channels have no mapping associated with them.
Same here. This was working yesterday night, all my scheduled recording occurred as expected but this morning I realized that all my scheduled recording were gone. After checking my DVR setting I noticed that all the channels above 339 did not have any program guide match and non of the HD channels had a matched program. Not sure what to do because I don’t think we can get an xmltv file for Verizon FIOS customers. Any ideas of what is going on ??
Same here. Only mapping first six channels. I have two HD Homerun tuners. They are working fine with other software.
I ended remapping the HD channels to their SD Program guide data for now. At least I will be able to have my recording scheduled. However, I have some channels that are HD only and I have lost all of those.
My channels are all OTA. Plex maps NBC only (within the first six). No ABC, CBS. FOX, or CW. No recording tonight for me. Hope someone can relay a fix.
Got the same problem. No EPG data seems to be shown. When you do a refresh it does seem to collect the data, but it never gets displayed. Rebooting or mapping to another channel does not seem to help in my case. Anyone got succes with another option?
Everything is back to normal this morning. I am getting data for all my channels again
Ok, what’s up with this bug. I too am back up and running. All channels mapped again and EPG slow but back to normal also.
Really have to wonder what is going on. I just checked my server, and no EPG, nothing scheduled, and no DVR setup. This is going from bad to worse.
Sure would be nice to get some official responses about all of these EPG issues that have been going on for MONTHS. It would help let Plex’s PAYING CUSTOMERS to know if they need to continue expecting these issues or if they’re completely resolved.
No program match for any HD channels here

I’ve been reporting this HD channel issue for days. Any update on this @BigWheel ?
I have the issue again all the guide for channels above 216 are gone. Anybody else having the issue as well ?
Same here… ** sigh **
I am currently down to 8 days left of my epg, appears to be broken. OTA here. I will attempt a restart after this last show is recording and try another refresh.
Edit: Restarted Plex this morning and it is now at 14 days again. I will check to make sure nothing is missing later today.
No traction on this yet? I have to keep deleting the DVR tuners and reloading every other day or so. Why are my channel mappings disappearing?
Hello everyone! I never expected any traction on this thread, and therefore I wasn’t subscribed to it! In any case, I wrote a program that does a soft reboot of my HDHR Prime once a day (before checking to make sure there are no channels in use first) as my issue seems to be directly related to my HDHR Prime refusing the connection from the Plex for some reason.
That particular bit of “why” is beyond my ability to understand. I am hoping that a soft reboot daily will help the HDHR stop being a jerk. Though I never got any official response, it was annoying that my EPG was failing to update EVERY DAY for 14 days and it never once told me. It wasn’t until I had a show that didn’t record because of no EPG data that I realized it was broken.
For an internet connected app, it is frustrating that it doesn’t notify me when there are issues. Has anyone enabled verbose logging on their plex, and then tried to refresh EPG data to see if there are errors as to why it is failing? Also, has anyone tried to use their own XMLTV file to see if it will pull that data in properly? This step helped me a lot to realize that my problem wasn’t in Plex, but was with my HDHR connection. It was obvious when even my own XMLTV file wasn’t showing any guide data.
I see that some of you are not using HDHR Primes, but you can still retrieve your own XMLTV data. I use mc2xml, but I hear Schedules Direct works very well. I use the donation version of mc2xml but I believe the free version works just fine.
