Hi everyone. Yesterday I found a completely empty EPG. Everything was working fine before. I went to the DVR menu to update the data manually. It went to “initialize” and then went through 0% to complete within a few seconds without updating any airings.
There wasn’t any update to the system while I was loosing the data.
Anyone who knows this issue or has the same problem?
I’m using the latest version of Plex on a Synology DS1815+ with HD Homerun Extend.
EPG source is Telekom from Germany.

Also Telekom Premium EPG Guide and HDHomeRun Expand + WinTV Dual (DVB-C)
… all gone, no records were made

since a few days a EPG refresh leads to Plex saying me that it “downloaded 0 airings”. Now my Program Guide is empty and all my recordings won’t start.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, ich denke es liegt daran, das sich bei Telekom Digital Senderabkürzungen geändert haben. So zum Beispiel Eurosport Deutschland 2, wenn ihr den z.B. drin habt, findet er keinen einzigen Airings. Ich bin alles im einzelnen immer wieder durchgegangen, aber es scheint an einigen zu langen Senderabkürzungen zu liegen. Einfach mal durchschauen und einzelne verdächtige deaktivieren und schauen ob er sammelt.
Long story short, I think it is because of the change in Telekom Digital Sender abbreviations. Thus, for example, Eurosport Deutschland 2, he does not find any single airings. I have gone through everything in detail again and again, but it seems to lie at some too long transmitter shortenings. Just look through and disable individual suspicious and see if it collects.
Er hat recht! Ich habe testweise mal alle Sender bis auf ZDF deaktiviert und jetzt lädt er ohne Probleme!

He is right! I just tried it with only one channel active (ZDF) and everything works fine now.

Apparently “ZDF Info HD” was the toublemaker. Now it’s disabled and everything works fine.
So I guess the problem are the blanks in the Guide Channel Name . I’ve got muliple channels with more then one blank, but they always were bracketed.
“ZDF Info HD” was the only one having multiple blanks outside the brackets.

To me this sounds like a bugfix for upcoming Plex releases. How can we get it to the queue?
the ZDF Info Channel trick worked for me yesterday. This morning - EPG was empty again though (Germany with Telekom (Telco - Premium))
got it working again by disabling channels named “PhoenixHD”, “rbb Berlin”, “3satHD” - seems that it’s not only problematic with blanks but with lower case letters? weird…
It turns out it has nothing to do with the channel name. The buggy behaviour is triggered by Gracenote delivering no data for certain channels.
Affected stations in Germany are for instance:
zdf info HD
Info TV Leipzig
Dresden TV
Sky Atlantic +1 HD Germany
A bug fix has been produced which will be merged and land in one of the next releases, hopefully.

Are that many stations affected for you?
It has nothing to do with the length of the station name or the number of spaces in it.
