Hi,
I was using EPG last days and I found why some images are not present when you browse between some movies and shows. I enabled the “developer tools” in the browser and I found why some images are not present.
For example a working image:
h_ttp://127.0.0.1:32400/photo/:/transcode?width=120&height=181&minSize=1&upscale=1&url=h_ttp://cps-static.rovicorp.com/2/Open/Sony_Pictures_Television_369/Program/32801352/DP_4218930_ASHER_Vertical.jpg&X-Plex-Token=XXX
For example a failed image (Error 500):
h_ttp://127.0.0.1:32400/photo/:/transcode?width=120&height=181&minSize=1&upscale=1&url=h_ttp://d2rrypp7o6l5v9.cloudfront.net/genre_image?program_id=9211352212&id_version=2.0&aspect_ratio=2%3A3&title_overlay=false&X-Plex-Token=XXX
As you can see the issue is with the url parameter. In the first case the url works and shows the image:
h_ttp://cps-static.rovicorp.com/2/Open/Sony_Pictures_Television_369/Program/32801352/DP_4218930_ASHER_Vertical.jpg
But in the second case the following url:
h_ttp://d2rrypp7o6l5v9.cloudfront.net/genre_image?program_id=9211352212&id_version=2.0&aspect_ratio=2%3A3&title_overlay=false
does not show an image. It shows a json object:
{
“url”: “h_ttp://cps-static.rovicorp.com/2/genre_image/Open/Shutterstock_4068/Genre/375/_2by3/Film_j7.jpg”,
“program_id”: “9211352212”,
“genre”: “movie”,
“aspect_ratio”: “2:3”,
“height”: “1998 px”,
“width”: “1332 px”,
“size”: “754 KB”,
“rights_name”: “shutterstock”,
“rights_id”: “4068”,
“title_overlay”: “False”
}
so when Plex try to transcode de url to create the image it crashes because it needs an image but receives a json object.
Who must fix this? EPG provider or Plex team?
Thanks!
Pablo
