Similar issue except it appears where ever Plex is pulling the information from, it is incomplete and inaccurate. It is not recognizing Episode 2 as Bad Traveling and it is missing Kill Team Kill (Episode 5 as shown in TheTVDB.com screenshot).
Any assistance with this would be most appreciated.
Refresh metadata for Love, Death & Robots, might take longer than usual.
Click on the “Upgrade Library” notification and perform the upgrade, but leave the “Refresh metadata” unchecked so it doesn’t ruin the order for this show again.
Also just had to vent, I’m sorry.
I hate how this crappy new agent that pulls its metadata from god-knows-where is forced down our throats. What’s wrong with users being able to choose and knowing EXACTLY where their data is taken from? Why do we need the PLEXᵀᴹ agent coming in to do a worse job than TVDB and others did? Every change feels like a downgrade, it’s like Plex decided we’re having too much fun at one point.
Why do you think? Data aggregation and collection. Plex ain’t making money selling Plex Passes and mobile apps.
And thanks, changing that library setting worked. Of course the next scheduled automated task of metadata refresh will ruin it again unless you disable that completely (for all libraries) in your PMS settings.
So the solution is Plex should just fix their end.
Maybe, if you don’t upgrade the library again. But if you do and a scheduled metadata scan runs I think its going to mess up the show again. My test this morning both ways showed that to be true.
Again, we users shouldn’t have to be figuring this out. Plex just needs to fix it in their agent. Simple enough its not even a complicated show.
I was referring to a previous post suggetting to re-upgrade the library yet leave the metadata upgrade unchecked. I believe we’re talking about different things.
I really hate when folks hijack a thread. Renaming, episode ordering, merits of new vrs old scanner/agent etc… will have no effect on this specific issue. Its missing from watch.plex.tv, simple as. Once that gets sorted it’ll flow into our plex servers as normal.
From a local plex server perspective this is now resolved with all episodes coming into plex correctly matching the Netflix running order. I’m using new agent with tmdb episode ordering.
