  • ATV model 2, firmware 5.2.1,

  • DNS: 10.0.1.1 (router) , changed to 10.0.1.10 (server)

  • Windows Server 2012

  • Local IP for PMS & PlexConnect: 10.0.1.10

Have turned off IIS and I'm not using a dns server, except for the router. Also created firewall exceptions for all ports for python.

What can I do to get this to work?

What the output of netstat?

What the output of netstat?

Lists only the port for PMS, nothing else. netstat -a -n -o gives me everything, but there is nothing for port 80. It's completely open and unused. But PlexConnect cannot access it.

This is the output from netstat -anb. Anything useful?

So I used >net stop HTTP< to kill off a ton of things that were running, and that did it. Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Restarted and killed IIS and Web deployment agent service and that did the trick.

Turning it off and on again or the reverse almost always works for any problem ;p

I faced the same problem, and my cause was Skype.  If that was the case for you, go to Skype-Options-Advanced-Connection.

Uncheck "Use Port 80..." and it worked for me.

Yeah Skype can be a PITA, i will add the specific steps you outlined to the wiki.

Thanks :)

This worked for me. Put I cannot restart the Web Deployment Agent Service. My AppleTV also cannot connect to the internet when I set it to manual DNS. Could these be related?
