make sure you pull the latest pms-docker:plexpass with docker pull - otherwise it doesn’t support the latest version of the server.

Yeah I use the LSIO docker and had the same issue.
Updated the container and viola back to working…

I am also experiencing issues with the last version of the PlexPass Docker —

As a result, all of my applications (Android, AndroidTV, iOS) crash immediately with no warnings or error messages. This goes on in a loop irregardless of network, device type, re-installing, etc.

OS: Unraid
Plex Type: Docker (plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass)
Plex Version: Version 1.15.0.659

Things attempted while troubleshooting:

  • Restart the Docker container
  • Restart the entire server itself
  • Restart the entire network
  • Release/renew IP’s
  • Nuked the Docker container and re-created it
  • Force updated the container to 15.x version
  • Signed out of Plex on the server and signed back in
  • Wipe data and cache for Plex apps
  • Shared crash reports via Google 20+ times
  • Enabled verbose and debug logging and dug through those (no errors or warnings found)
  • Dove into the config and deleted cert files so they would be re-created on Plex startup
  • Poured through Google results, plex forum threads, reddit posts, etc.

I’m running out of ideas. Could something be going on with either Plex auth token servers, my account or connections associated with it?

Thank you in advance for your review.

How do I do this? I am no expert.
I have stopped the docker container. should I start it?

docker pull plexinc/pms-docker or something like that depending on your setup.

and where on my synology? sorry I am a noobie

I have already done this step, yet my errors persist.

connected via putty, entered docker pull plexinc/pms-docker and this is my error:
Using default tag: latest

Put sudo in front of the command, then run it.

Post some logs and hopefully the devs that work on it can have a look. I am told it should work if you pull the latest container from the official place.

Thank you for having patience with me. Upgrading now. Will report back.

Still the same error:
/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Plex Media Server: error while loading shared libraries: libva.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory stdout

21:13:22

I’ve stopped the docker container, deleted all logs and then restarted the docker container. Once Plex was up, I tried opening Plex on my phone 1 time and it crashed immediately with no warnings or error messages. I too have sent this crash report to Google (if you can see them?).

Server logs for this attempt are attached.

Yea, the official docker container is fishy, please fix it.

exactly the same problem even after upgrade today.
please plex fix the problem.
I searched for logs, but there are no logs from today after upgrade to 1.15
thank you tobiashieta fairplay89 for your help

pulling the newest container as mentioned here: 1.15.0.647 - Fails to launch - Can't find libva.so.2 solved the problem…

somehow, it was the (auto) update corrupting my setup…

Thanks for the logs. I have located the Plex for Android crashes on the galaxy tablet. It is crashing whilst processing a server version number. It does not appear to do with the new build numbers 1.15.0.xxx-xxxxxxxxx

Could you get me the xml response to this request which you can put into a browser with adding your server security token

https://plex.tv/resources?includeHttps=1&includeRelay=1&X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxx
Please copy the response into a text file and zip and send me by private message

You can find the server token from Preferences.xml - item PlexOnlineToken

Thanks

I forgot to ask about iOS crashes. I cannot see any Plex for iOS crash events for your account. Could you confirm that this is happening and it is not just Android.

I mentioned Preferences.xml for finding the token - but you could also get it from Plex Web screen as outlined here https://support.plex.tv/articles/204059436-finding-an-authentication-token-x-plex-token/

I just had this same problem. As everyone said, you need to pull the latest image with docker pull plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass.
But next, you need to stop your running plex container. Mine is named ‘plex’. So docker stop plex.
Next, you need to delete that container, so you can then start a new one based on the new image you pulled.
So, for me, docker rm plex.
Next, you’d start your plex container like you previously did. For me, that looks like:
docker run -d \ --name plex \ --restart=always \ --security-opt apparmor:unconfined \ --net=host \ -e TZ="America/Chicago" \ -e PLEX_CLAIM="<MY_PLEX_CLAIM>" \ -v /mnt/extra/docker/plex/database:/config \ -v /mnt/extra/docker/plex/transcode:/transcode \ -v /mnt/md0/media:/data/media \ plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass
