Same here “Error code: s3015 (Media)”. Was quite ok before last update.
which update? web ? server ? version? previous version?
see note below regarding diagnostics
would need to have plex web debug logging enabled (beforehand) and also the Plex Media Server debug logging and capture the diagnostics when the error occurs with screenshot (full - not cropped) and noting time of the error and then collecting the Plex Web log and the server logs zip

Hello, my English is little, but you can find zip, thankzip.zip (12.4 MB)
Thanks for the server logs but despite spending a few hours looking at them i cannot see from the server side what may have caused the Plex Web player to give an error
I did stipulate in my earlier post that I need to see logs from both sides = the Plex Web App and the server side to start investigating
I will repeat here my last reply to you Error Code: s3015 (Media) - #43 by sa2000

The server end shows requests from the web app are being dealt with quickly and no error codes returned by the server
Have you tried browsers other than safari to see if it happens then as well ? eg Google Chrome
Is it just during playback ?
I just got this error trying to play mp3 files. The files play on windows with no issues.
Plex Server version and OS: Version 1.16.2.1321 / Windows 10-1809
Plex client: Version 3.99.2
Web Browser: Firefox Quantum 68.0.1
I’m seeing this as well after upgrading to the latest versions . Repeated s3015 retry errors. Seeing this across all 3 browsers (Chrome, Firefox & Safari). If I click retry it may resume, but eventually will drop back to the error once again.
Here’s my logs:
I’m also starting to see Error Code s3015 (Media) regularly on my Mac server:
Plex Server Version 1.16.5.1488
Mac OS 10.14.6
Plex Web Client 4.2.1
Safari 12.1.2
I’ll see if I can get some logs.
I am having the same problem on my mac desktop ( plex server ver. 1.16.5.1488). I am using chrome version 76.0.3809.100. Seems to be on my older files I created. need to convert the logs to something I can upload.
I find that the video plays on my Windows desktop (plex server ver. 1.15.8.1198 using explorer) and Samsung TV (using the mac server) fine but not on my MAC desktop or Playstation 3.
Add me to the list.
Plex server version: 1.16.5.1488
Playing on Plex web player (safari): 4.2.2
I get the error during movie transcodes.
same here.

I also have this error on the web player via safari. Incredibly annoying that things like this cannot be resolved quicker when you actually pay monthly for this software. Instead, increasing amounts of useless functions are added all the time. I just want a media server solution for video.
Leaving as soon as I can find an alternative solution.
Music playback s3016 Error Only in Edge browser
1.16.5.1554 server version
Version 4.6.2 web version
ok so I have my NOW albums in my music library which have been working fine
I had to update some metadata for the artist name and I used a program called mp3tag
to update it, I then did a rescan of my library to update the changes and nothing was showing as changed so I though ok id remove the album rescan so it shows it not there , and the replaced it back and scanned again
this did in fact show the changes but now trying to play that album I either get that error or it looks like the track is playing but with no sound and you cannot move the progress slider , this is in edge browser , the albums play fine on my phone or in chrome and in the windows store app so its an edge issue.
I’m thinking that it didn’t remove the old changes and there must be something in the data base looking for old files or something.
I have tried manually deleting and emptying the trash but that didn’t work either…
and also emptying all browser caches etc
ANY IDEAS?
I have tried edge on another pc and its still not liking those files, I’ve even tried re-ripping the audio again from the disc but its still having problems as if its saving something gin the plex server database about the old files or something, its remembering
also work fine through the android tv and the nvidia shield , just dam edge and also internet explorer
I really think I know what the issues is.
it must be something to do with how it handles remembering where the user last listened to a track and where in the timeline it was.
as its only having issues with the browser I was using as of the time I updated the meta data on the file
and out off the 100 or so “NOW that’s what I call music” albums only the ones where I updated the meta data while still in the plex server data base are affected.
the others I moved off the plex server did a scan so it know to clear them , updated the meta data then re added them to the plex server and these are working fine
so I have 6/100 not working only in the edge browser.
so I really think that the Media errors are going to be related to meta data getting updated while the user is updating them on the server
I really need to speak with the plex software bugs team as I think this is a repeatable bug and could possibly be fixed
I can confirm at the moment is that the bug can only be reproduced on my mac. Windows computers are not affected.
I got it on my PC and Roku.
Started getting this 3015 Error message. First time it’s happened. I skipped to the next episode, and it works just fine. I got another copy of that episode, and plex played it just fine. I ran a CRC32 Comparison, and the 3015 copy was off by a smidge. We’re talkin’ like 1mb difference.
Not sure if this helps. I can run debugs too.
I’m getting the 3015 code when listening to music on Chrome, Roku & AppleTV. Certain songs from the same album will play and others won’t. Plex is at the most current software version and the file type is m4a.
