Example: Trying to listen to the new tool album - tracks 1 & 5 will play but every other track gives me the 3015 error.
Has there been a resolution to this yet?
Not that I can see.
I am getting the same thing⊠fails on chrome, works in edge and kindle
This happened to me just now. None of the solutions above worked for me but then I noticed that when I tried to watch my video file in VLC it jumped over where the error kept occurring so it may be as simple as a little error in the file itself.
Iâm having this issue, the file is fine where it errored out and clicking âRetryâ got the movie playing again with no issues.
Just started to get this error today , i am using the app , i have also remoted into my server and i am also getting the same error in the web browser . verified the content location too
File is a flac music album
I have also this problem, first s3016 and after s3015
I got Error Code: s3015 (Media), and it turned out the audio stream on the movie I was watching threw that error. I switched audio streams, and it works fine. This was on an MKV, with an âUnknown Audio (FLAC)â throwing the error, while a Japanese audio track plays the content.
This is happening to me too. Just started doing it a couple days ago. Wtf.
i just updated the server , and since than i get the same error , lucky on the xbox still works ⊠but on the PC ot anymore
Was listening to music all day. One track (and mp3) stopped playing and now I get this error on a chrome browser where nothing has changed. Whatâs the fix?
Same here. Blah blah blah; can no longer watch almost anything in Chrome with the s3015 error running Plex version 1.20.0.3181.
same issue with a tv series
Latest update has this occurring for multiple titles as well. Any work arounds that are still working? Running Plex version 1.20.1.3252
Error code: s3015 (Media) is also happening to me running plex version: 1.20.3.3483.
Working on: Google Pixel 2 XL / Google Pixel 2 / fireTV / FireFox
Not working on: NVIDIA Shield, Chrome, Edge
Loads of console errors for: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) - https://redacted.plex.direct:32400/video/:/transcode/universal/dash/redacted/1/2403.m4s
Same here, s3016 and after s3015.
Started suddenly today, with video and music - both affected. (Only images are fine, so seems something wrong with trans coding?)
Affects Chrome Web Player, Version 4.45.0
At the same time from Android Plex app everything keep working.
Server version is Version 1.20.4.3517 .
Wonder if there any workaround exists for such ~2Y old bug
UPD: it turns out, that in my case issue was at the client side, somehow if Ubuntu canât produce sound (not related to Plex but buggy implementation of Bluetooth in Ubuntu), Plex throwing such error. Easiest way to resolve - to reset Gnome by âAlt-F2â and ârâ.
Well, I donât know if this is a definitive solution, but since noone has been able to find a solution in 2 years, any input is probably a positive thing. I have recently been updating my process such that my new server files are h265 instead of h264. This has started to throw these s3016 and s3015 errors when playing through the web, and I never got those errors previously with h264 files.
There is a setting in âPLEX WEBâ : âDebugâ : âDirect Play. Allows the player to play compatible media without any conversion. In most browsers, direct play supports MP4 videos with h264 video and AAC audio. Videos with subtitles cannot be played directlyâ.
When I disabled this setting in my web portal, I was able to get my x265 videos to play remotely, without the S3016/S3015 (Media) errors. This is extremely hard to test, because changing the setting does not immediately change the server cache. So if you try to play the same file before and after the setting change, nothing will improve. But if I grab a different video file from the same series, using the same h265 compression, these files start working where the other ones didnât. I still canât get the files to play that I tried before I changed the setting, but all new files are playing.
Hello. Iâve been getting this error with a single file. It appears that something is corrupted in the Plex database as the movie itself plays fine if I change itâs name and make Plex think itâs a different movie. I deleted the movie and tried the Plex Dance to see if that would clear it, but that doesnât work. When I reinstall the movie, it shows up with the âResume playingâ from the exact same time as before I deleted it.
Any suggestions on how to remove the movie from the Plex database entirely?
