I’ve noticed lately that the temporary folders in my DVR “.grab” directory aren’t being cleaned up automatically after a DVR recording completes. If I go in and manually delete the folders I don’t have any problems.

Looking in my Plex Media Server.log files, I periodically see the warning

“Error iterating directory ‘“Z:\video\recorded tv.grab”’: An unexpected network error occurred”

Z: is a Samba share mounted off my Synology NAS to the Plex server. The shows record and postprocess correctly, I just have this error and the .grab folders being left behind.

This used to work and as far as I know, I haven’t changed anything on the NAS or the Plex server configuration that might have contributed to this. I checked ownership and permissions of the .grab folder and its parent but they are owned with full control by the media user I run Plex as.

I’ve searched Google and the forums and haven’t found any mention of this error. Anyone ever seen this or know what might be causing it? Thanks!
