Error - Previously working, playback now gives an error 'An unexpected playback problem occurred'

I recently noticed that I now get the above error on SOME videos when playing back. Previously I had no issues at all, everything played back perfectly - the only change that I’m aware of, is that I’ve upgraded Plex (downloaded from the Plex website, and then manually installed through the App Centre as the QNAP provided version is outdated). Most of my videos still playback fine, but it’s only some that now give the error and didn’t previously.

I upgraded to the latest release version v.1.42.2.10156 which gave the error, and then I tried upgrading again to the latest beta 1.43.0.10231, however the error persists.

If I go into the setting in the client (LG WebOS), and select Force Direct Play in the video options, the playback issue seems to be fixed, however I have not previously had to do this. If I turn it off, the error comes back again. There is no issue with playback on Windows however.

I think maybe it’s something to do with ffmpeg? If I watch the console output, these errors (amongst others) comes up -

Hey I have noticed files that have worked for years are now suddenly having playback issues. It seems to be occuring only on files that are DTS. When a file does freeze, it always freezes at the same place however the different per file.
I tried optimizing the problematic files but although the audio is re-encoding the freezing still occurs. I am not playing any files with subtitles.
At this stage I dont have a solution, I have tried playing around with direct play and direct stream settings but the only thing that works is to delete the file and get a new one

Try to downgrade. 1.41.6.9685 should work.
