Error when trying to play completed recording

Server Version#: Version 1.16.3.1402 and at least 6 previous versions
Player Version#: Version 3.104.2 on macOS 10.14.6 and at least 6 previous versions

When trying to play a recently recorded show, the result is:

Playback Error
There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems.

This happens regularly. Most of the time I can exit Plex Media Player and relaunch and the recording plays successfully. Once in a while it is a hard error. In all cases the recording may be played by VLC, so on can surmise the problem is in the Plex Media Player.

This makes Plex Media Player somewhat less than useful.

Is there any intention to fix this?

I have the same issue and also had it for a lot of versions too. It is only from one of my channels not everone - I have a hard time getting that channel to play live to from Plex (Worked fine earlier). But I can record and remove commercials and play it with VLC or Windows Movie and TV app. I can see the channel with HD homerun live.

Hope to get to work 100% again - love the Plex platform.
