Plex Media Player still cant play while recording

Why after all these years can Plex still not play a TV show while its recording? Users have been complaining about this for years in the forums.
I thought the new Preview version would have been an opportunity to finally address this and provide the features users really want rather than just adding some unwanted gloss.

Still unhappy with Plex Media Player.

Plex - any plans to provide this feature?
