Recently I’ve been trying to share some of my libraries with a couple friends, some of them already are Plex users, some of them aren’t, but they all keep getting the same error
“Hmm, an invite error…
Sorry, an error happened when accepting the invitation.”
Now this is happening when trying to accept the invite through the link generated by Plex in case they don’t receive the invitation e-mail because, and this is in all cases, they don’t receive the email. I’ve tried eliminating the invitation and sending it over again, I’ve tried inviting different friends (5 different friends if the number matters) and every time the same thing happen: They don’t receive the invitation email and they can’t gain access to my libraries with the link I get from my PMS.
Is there a maximum amount of friends I can share my libraries with if I’m not a Plex Pass user?
For people who don’t have a plex account yet, make them create one on their own. Then ask them about the email address they used for signing up. Then send an invitation to this email address. But tell them to not use the link in the email, but go to the above one.
There is a maximum number for every one, Plex Pass or not, which is 100.
Yeah, it’s still not working. 2 of my friends already have accounts, they don’t get the email and can’t accept the invitation with the link plex gives me. The one without a plex account received 1 email after several attempts but couldn’t accept the invite. In all cases they get the same error message
“Hmm, an invite error…
Sorry, an error happened when accepting the invitation.”
