I had to update to the latest version of PMS 0.9.14.6 using Rasplex 1.0.1. Settings are on 4.0 (or even 2.0) audio, with direct play enabled. Everything now wants to be transcoded and then it fails stating that it is missing the necessary codec. This was not the case before the last update of PMS. What is going on? Any help appreciated.
You updated your PMS and RasPlex or just PMS? Details of what codecs the files are? Did they work with the previous PMS version?
I updated both to the latest versions. I am trying to play MKV and M2TS files with DTS audio. The previous version of the PMS and this version of Rasplex had no issues. Is there a way to roll back the PMS to an earlier build?

If you’re on Linux just reinstall the previous version with dpkg -i

I think the only way to re-install an earlier version is to get a plex pass. My only concern is that even that wont fix the problem. I don’t know why there are so many issues with PLEX and UNRAID. It now doesn’t even play ANY media even when it tries to transcode it (even to a lower bit rate). If rolling back doesn’t fix it, then time to ditch this ridiculous software and start from scratch with something more stable where it is not being updated constantly creating more problems.
Is there ANY way to roll back PMS without a plex pass?
Suggest you look in the PMS section for issues with your server.
Try also looking in the archives here https://plex.tv/downloads/1/archive for previous versions.
