Messing around with the nvidia-patch to unlock the 2 NVENC sessions limit for the GTX series cards and I noticed I’m exceeding the HW transcode limit without the patch. Is plex no longer using NVENC?

It looks as though you only have two hardware-accelerated encodes going; the third is software-based. Note the lack of (hw) on the third session’s encode line.
Ahh the (hw) at the top threw me off normally dont see that when hardware transcoding is disabled. Didnt noticed the hw wasnt present on the transcode line
The (HW) on the top line is for decoding. There is no limit on decoding, only encoding (i.e. second line).
Is there anyway to get to automatically switch to SW? My card hits a 100% decoding and plex never switches back to SW so everything buffers or freezes. Plex should have a way to configure when it switches back.
It should. Can you get me logs when this doesn’t happen?
Ended up getting a 6gb 1060 and using the nvidia patch to unlock it. Havent been able to overload yet to see if it switches or not.
