When using the experimental player, there is no 10/30 sec skip functionality when resting your finger on the left or right side of the touchpad. The only way to skip forward is to pause and then slide along the track pad if you don’t have chapters in the media.

Thanks, I was going to report the same thing. Switched back to old player until available as I find it a must when playing on Apple TV.
Same here. Really excited for the new player! I’ve seriously been waiting for this day since the app was released for the ATV4 a few years ago. I understand why they used Apple’s player for the initial launch but it was pretty terrible for Plex’s purposes and sad it took them this long to get their own player in the app.
Quick skipping back/forward with the remote is an absolute must though so I can’t use it until that functionality is added. Can’t wait!
