Explaining Plex to my family and friends

Hi

I was wondering if someone might have an easy to read and quick explanation of how to use plex for someone who might not exactly be tech savvy, such as elderly relatives.

I would like to invite friends and family to use my plex server thats already established with some managed users, but I’m a little unsure about inviting more people because i know there will be the inevitable questions about what it is, how to use it, setting up an account, difference between shared libraries and movies and tv from plex… the lists goes on.

At least a quick guide with some pictures might help answer most of the basic questions to get someone started.

Thanks in advance and sorry if there is something like this already available, ive not been able to find anything as yet.

I have found it is just easier to go to their house and set everything up, then they can pretty much use it like Netflix.

I teach for a living and regardless of all the niceties about anyone can learn (which is total BS) some people just can’t put it all together. Just go set it up for them then they will be fine.

Yes I think in general it would be easiest to show them in person. Unfortunately it’s a bit difficult at the moment with the current situation :frowning:
