Sometimes sporting events can go over. There’s already an option for recording beyond the end time, but apparently you can’t modify that if a recording has already started. Or more accurately, you can modify it, but the recording still stops at its originally scheduled time. It’d be really great if there was a way to extend a current recording, for example if a football game has an injury or rain delay (mine had both tonight), so ends up going to take 45-60 minutes longer than originally scheduled. Now I’ll have to manually splice two recordings together, since I was at least able to schedule the recording of the news program afterwards.
Yep agreed - that would definitely be a great feature to have - comes up often enough with football games for sure - other sports as well when there is the opportunity for overtime, etc.
Absolutely agree! I have this all the time. Has this been posted in the features request as yet?
Agreed. Also for shows after a game where you happen to realize everything was shifted. It would be nice to just bump the length of the recording already in progress.
And it should not affect the timer for a series, only the event happening right now.
I’m just here reporting that this is still a problem in the latest version 1.11.1.4760. Either they should disable the “Modify Recording” button for recordings that are already in progress, or they should make it so that it actually changes the recording schedule.
