Extended time recordings are impossible to start playback while recording in the extension window

Welcome to the club! Long outstanding annoyance, there is a feature request for it:

Enable active recordings to be started from the DVR schedule page

If you try to start playback of a recording while it is still recording but no longer in the guide (common with live sports when you set the recording to finish 60 mins after the scheduled time), it’s not possible to find and start the recording because it is no longer in the guide. As a workaround, please please please enable us to start the recording from the DVR schedule page. Otherwise Plex is unusable for time shifting live sports.
