I saw the news that plex is going to try and add even more features? that sounds awesome. except I honestly don’t want to use or even see those features. The app has been starting to feel a bit awkard and sometimes even sluggish. Can we have a way to tell our clients and servers to only request/provide certain aspects and to not even bother trying to load the other bits?
Do you have some specific use cases in mind?
You can already disable online media sources, pin/unpin libraries, add/remove certain hubs to the recommended/home pages… There’s existing requests to allow additional customizations (e.g. disabling reviews, related hubs…).
With that in mind I’m curious what features you want to disable?
Reviews and ratings would be nice. If it’s in my library, I have an interest in it and have no need for someone’s opinion.
I don’t want to bother with entries for Live TV or Music since I don’t use those.
And How do I get rid of these crackle things off of my android thing?
For the most part, I would likely disable everything except for the ‘movies & shows’ category. I don’t particularly care about what is ‘trending’ or ‘live now’

nvm, this does kinda look like what I’m looking for, kinda wish it was at the client level instead of account. and it doesn’t appear to function correctly?
Music (linking your Tidal library) is also listed as online media source and can be disabled (same as the video on demand, live tv, podcasts, web shows…).
If you want to use some of the online media sources on individual clients you can leave it enabled and unpin it from your main navigation on all other clients (see the “customizing your apps” link above).
How so?
Arcade is a separate library type you can create in your server. Nothing showing up just like this.
looking at the home screen on the app,p dunno why I’m looking at these movies and shows I don’t own a copy of. I would like that gone.
