I have all my movie collection on an external hard drive.
My old PC died, so I am setting up new windows 10 laptop.
Will my laptop or external drive go to sleep and prevent remote viewing?
Do I need to update any settings to prevent this?

A fresh installation of Plex server already has the crucial check box ticked: “Support Away Mode when preventing system sleep”
You can additionally enter the control panel of Windows and edit the power saving policy, so that windows will never enter the hibernation state or power down the hard drives.
