External Subtitles on next Episode do not load in

Hey so theres already been an issue for this which got auto-closed unfortunately with no solution: Subtitles won’t continue between playlist tv/movie episodes - #2 by ciner16

I agree with OP that this is an issue, and the comments in the other post only provided workarrounds.

When you watch a Series and have subtitles on (on Apple TV) and start the next episode via the “play next” button the External Subtitles wont load in . In my opinion and without knowing any of your codebase i think a simple fix would be to implement a subtitle-reload at the beginning of the Episode IF it has ben started via “play next”. This clearly seems to be an issue with loading of the Subs as you can see in the menu that it really selected the right subs but they just wont start. A simple change to Subtitle OFF and back to It makes it work again.

If you went to one of those episode separately are subtitles enabled on details screen?
