Subtitles not showing until I switch back and forth

Player Version#: Latest on Apple TV 4K 4th generation I would guess.

When I start a new episode of whatever show the subtitles don’t show. I have to go up into the subtitle menu and select another subtitle and then back to the previous set subtitle before it shows again. Been like this for some months now.

Same here. Subs will also stop showing during playback. I then need to select another sub and go back to the original sub for it to show. Most of the time it will then stop showing subs again after a few minuts.

This has been an issue for months on my AppleTV.

This is happening on Android TV too, so it’s seems that this bug is not related to Apple TV but Plex client itself, could you please edit the title to remove the Apple TV part, to avoid creating a new thread for the same issue? Thanks

By the way, just tested on android mobile client and it’s working as expected. So it seems to be an issue of client TV version, regardless the platform (Android TV or Apple TV)
