I have recently updated my Plex Movie agents to include opensubtitle.org This works fine and I now see a list of external srt subtitle options for newly added content. However when I try to play back with one of these subtitle tracks I just get a spinning wheel and sometimes a message that the transcoder has exited due to an error. This happens whether the media is on a NAS or internal storage of the Shield itself. I’ve tried running the server on the NAS (Synology) instead and then the subtitle tracks work correctly (albeit with a fair degree of buffering, as would be expected). I have tried the various subtitle options (automatic, image only, always) and this does not seem to make any difference.
