Extras and Trailers don't work on IOS Devices (Iphone 6s, IPAD3 irrespective of ios 9.x or 10.1.1)

Hello Plex Members,

i’m new with my plex lifetime pass and just activated movie trailers & extras on my plex server (had to remove the repository and re integrate the movie repository so that plex updates extras & trailers for my movies)
So far so good.
I tested everything with my Iphone 6s with different ios versions. I used the normal Plex App (newes Version on Appstore) to play trailers or extras but it dont work. When i click on trailer than it is buffering for a short time and is showing the information how long the trailer would go in buffering mode. And than suddenly the app is just closing the buffering window on the phone with no error message or something. I have the same result with my Ipad 3 with ios 9.

So i tested it also with the mobile phone of my girflriend (Samsung Galaxy S7 with newes android) and the trailers and extras are working in the Android App!!!

So do we have the general situation that extras and trailers dont work at the moment with IOS and with Android they are Working? The strange thing is that i haven’t found anything about that on google…

Maybe someone can help or confirm that with ios no trailers or extras can be plaid at the moment?!?
Or is there any trick to get this work on IOS?
Maybe the Plex Support can fix that with the next release of the Plex version if that is a general problem.

Hope someone can give a statement about that.

The iOS app likes being signed out and back in after upgrading to PlexPass (as do most Plex things). It updates all the flags in the software cleanly.

Not to ask a potentially insulting question but, did you sign out and back in on iOS? I ask because I’ve not heard any complaints and my iOS devices are working well.

It also might be your server (which we can take a look at).

Thank you! That was the solution ;). Just reinstalling the apps

I reinstalled the apple TV app and it still won’t play trailers. They work from my PC and iPhone but not Apple TV. Can’t think of anything else to look at!

What do you mean by the following? I have the pass as well but I don’t see plex movies in my agents. I am on Version 1.0.0.2261
