Extras/Featurettes show up as full movies

So a few days ago some of my featurettes/extras started showing up in my movie library.

i have the folder Aliens (1986) and a sub folder Featurettes with the longer vids.
Somehow plex detects 04. This time it’s war - pinewood studios 1985.avi and shows it as a movie option on the main library.

I tried renaming it to end in -Extra_featurette.avi but that doesn’t solve it either.
And there is no hide option so i can just get rid of it.

removing, refreshing and re-adding the folders did not change anything.

What server version are you on?

Windows has had a lot of problems with the scanner lately. They just released a beta version to fix some issues today

I’m almost sure I saw someone in one of the main threads talking about a very similar issue with extras becoming unmatched

version 4.100.1 plex web

server 1.32.1.6999 i think, so seems to be newest main version.

i’ll give it some time to get fixed hopefully… actually try to see if i can find the beta version and test it.

seemed to fix it with the beta version.

Happens to me too, I just added a bunch of Ed Wood extras, they all came up as individual items. Fortunately my scanner identified most of them, I had to make manual entries for one. I create a folder called Extras in the movie folder, I suppose it depends now you name them. Sometimes they show up as extras beneath the film. I have some tv show extras that showed up like that, as an extras entry before season 1.
