I’ve been affected by this for a couple years now, not sure exactly when it started but it’s really frustrating that this feature used to work with no issues in 2019/2020.
I have my Movies Library enabled for Trailers via Plex Pass, none are local to my storage drive. Yet, when I try to play trailers from my mobile, TV, PC, or server (web browser) I always get an error now. The console message also don’t offer much since those a somewhat cryptic and I don’t understand what those messages mean. I think the server is trying to hit a specific directory, but I should not have any files on my Plex drive.
I can provide all pertinent data (server version, logs, etc.), but I’m currently working and will have to add later when I have the time. I’ve seen several folks affected by this as well, so I’m hoping we can figure something out. Looking at articles it goes through simple setup steps, but I’ve already done that part and still get consistent errors.
