Extremely low volume on chromecast

Hi, have searched the forums and web far and wide, but not found any solution to the problem. Looks like this is a problem for several people for several years.

The issue has increased for me over the last couple of months, where my videos have extremely low volume when i cast to my chormecast (gen 2) All other players work normaly.

The issue occurs only with videofiles that has 5.1 audio (all my players have stereo audio, but CC is the only one where it does not work)

I have checked the chromecast.xml profile and it says 2 on the audioline.
I have tried casting from different sources.
I have set the audio boost option on the server to max.

Anyone that can help me and others with this issue?

Even the web player saw a massive hit to audio quality in the 3.x branch. Basically unable to watch video on the web player now because everything is so quiet and muffled. As usual, thank God openPHT community knows what they’re doing.

Disabled Direct Play too, no change, still crappy audio via Plex on Chormecast w/ stereo speakers.

Found forumposts from 2014 where a staffmember said that they where looking into this problem, guess not…
