Before this version about 30% of recordings failed. After the update all recordings fail and live tv does not work. In the past if I shut down and restart PMS the next recording would generally work. Today that is not the case. The error description says check the antenna but they come in fine on TV tuners or HDhomerun software. I like the basic plex product but I am at the end of my rope. Instead of adding new features just fix the basics first. (Windows 7/ OTA source/ HDhomerun )
I’m see the same things with this version, unstable…
Some time it works for a minute or less but most of the time it never starts…
Watching the server there is little to no CPU/network usage.
When it does connect the screen freezes after a couple of seconds. Dashboard doesn’t show anything… and no CPU/network usage…
Is anyone able to use the DVR the way it is supposed to work? Hasn’t worked right for me for months.
After I posted my rant on failed recordings, It turned out that my HDhomerun connect (HDHR4) had failed and was the cause of the problem. It appears that it my have failed gradually and was causing the high recording failure rate as well since after installing a new model connect (HDHR5) the failed records have gone away (so far). My apologizes to the plex team. Now if I could get both of my PMS recordings to work and music sound to work upstairs on the Fire TV stick, I would be a happy camper.
