Hi,
I have the same issue, but with ASUSTOR NAS.

So my steps were:

  1. Uninstall the app
  2. Remove Plex folder
  3. Reboot NAS
  4. log in via SSH and using following commands:
 - sudo -su root "password"
- cd /volume1/
- rm -rf "Plex"
  1. Reboot again
  2. Downloading PMS ArmV7 for ASUSTOR
  3. Installing PMS ArmV7 for ASUSTOR (went okay)
  4. Trying to launch

Get this:

yet it does not help at all.

/volume1/Plex/Library is for Synology hosts on DSM 6.

Hi @ChuckPa, sorry if I got into wrong category, but it seems like exactly the same error, no matter the device.

Asustor has two Plex paths

App:

/usr/local/AppCentral/plexmediaserver/Plex Media Server

Library:

/volume1/Plex/Library

My mistake… Please accept my apologies. I forgot ASUSTOR is like Synology DSM 6 in structure.

PMS does ship with an empty database.

The error logs look like PMS is having trouble writing to that new location?

Hi trumpy81 i deleted all 3 com… files in the Databases folder. during start of plex server the 3 files get regenerated and after that plex server stops itself and i have that log:

Hi,

I am having the same issue too on asustor. Running app version 1.24.0.4930. Database will not populate. I have tried the above instructions with no success, the database creation still fails.

Folks,

I cannot explain why this is happening. It’s been submitted to Engineering.
It only impacts select ARMv7 machines.

Best way to work around this is to grab an older 1.22.x if you have it and start with that as a base.

Once the base DB is built, you’re OK.

@ChuckPa, able to advice where we can grab an older version of plex (asustor) that is 1.22.x for ARMv7 machines? I tried search on one online but unable to find it. Thanks!

Hi All,
I am in the same situation with DSM414 (Armv7) running :

  • version DSM 7.0 - 41890
  • latest version of Plex Media Server v1.24.2.4973

Issue came after upgrading to DSM7.0

  • I read carefully this stream (an others) :
  • I tried many times to delete, all Plex files, directories, reboot NAS, old Plex Users, reinstall Plex so many times and still stuck with same logs :

I understand that is a known bugs on DSM armv7 only ?
Is that correct ? Is there any updates or any other option to make Plex working with DSM7.0?

Do you have an older version of PMS to install?

If not, I will get one for you. This problem began with 1.23.0.

Once PMS has the initial database, it’s fine.
