"Failing exchange for lack of track matches"

Interesting idea.

I wonder if the Plex Music scanner works like the movie scanner in relation to curly braces.

So long as you’re using the current “Plex Movie” metadata agent for the library, you can also include the IMDb or TheMovieDB ID number in curly braces to help match the movie. It must follow the form {[source]-[id]} .

It doesn’t, I tried :frowning:

Through no additional changes on my part, all of my Unmatched song matched themselves in the last 24 hours.

When I manually match an album, the unmatched attribute is cleared immediately. Does auto-match have some sort of delay?

image

I believe plex will attempt to match anything which is unmatched when the library is scanned again.

I see the advanced filter you used above is scoped to artist, try changing this to album and see if its clear.

Changing to album changes the view, but not the items in the list.

I have ~50 unmatched songs today that have been there for at least a few days.

I really wish Plex had paid support.

Music with plex is certainly a labor of love

Could you show us a screenshot of the tags from the Planet Soul/Energy & Harmony album? Selecting the first track should be enough but do include all the tags you have.

image

And here is what Plex sees. I assume the “organized” attribute is not displayed anywhere useful.

My guess would be the naming here like we discussed earlier in this thread. As a test I’d try and change that doing a plex dance and see if it matches.

This is a metadata agent for a video library. Not a Plex music library.
Unmatched tracks and albums in a Plex Music library are supposed to look like this:
guid="local://1034881" parentGuid="local://1034880"

Something appears to majorly messed up. Did you switch the library to “Plex Music” just recently, bychance?

No, this has been a Plex Library for years.

Should I recreate and cross my fingers?

Before destroying what you have, try creating a second music library and point it to a small collection of albums. Just for a test.
I’d also carefully check the database. Best to use this batch file, as it performs a very thorough repair not only of the primary database file, but also the the secondary BLOBs database. GitHub - ChuckPa/PlexDBRepair: Database repair utility for Plex Media Server databases

I’ll give it a go.

I checked another unmatched file, and it did not have the TV parent guid.

This is very weird. The guid says that this is indeed matched.

New library is still scanning, but this thread has come full circle.

Scan complete and I have only have three album not matched. Amo is still haunting me, and I suspect the other two could disappear in the next 24 hours.

It’s not supposed to do that. I wanted to ensure that the weirdness I mentioned above was not caused by DB corruption. Because once you have that in your DB, chances are it will get worse over time and eventually lead to a total loss of all data.

I wonder what the above filter is checking: track, album, or artist when it says “unmatched”.
The XML says that everything is matched, so the filter must be not working as expected.

Do you experience anything bad, because of the “unmatched” status?

No ill effects. I use that playlist to find metadata errors.
