Attached are my logs. Plex Media Server Logs_2019-08-17_11-22-49.zip (878.0 KB)
This is an odd problem as it happens infrequently and seems to happen inconsistently.
Here is my setup:
FreeNAS-11.2-U2
CPU: Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1240 v3 @ 3.40GHz
Plex is installed in an iocage jail and has been running great generally. The problem I’m facing is that after what seems to be a random amount of time all media will start to fail to transcode. This can be anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. When I look into the logs, it seems to be caused by these 2 lines:
Aug 17, 2019 11:20:58.325 [0x80d254b00] WARN - Failed to find encoder 'h264_nvenc'
Aug 17, 2019 11:20:58.325 [0x80d254b00] ERROR - [FFMPEG] - No VA display found for device: /dev/dri/renderD128.
Restarting the jail fixes the problem and I can start transcoding again.
What I have already tried:
- double checked permissions
- tried with hardware transcoding on and off
Can someone point me in the correct direction for more troubleshooting? It is strange to me that it only happens after a random period of time and that if I restart, it starts working again.
I really appreciate any help!
