Three times this week, Plex has notified me that there is a PMS update available but when I dl it, I find it is the same version as the PMS I am running (on a RPi)
Is this a client bug?
Check your update channel. If you’re using the public version but set for the Beta channel, it will prompt you.
Server update channel is set to Public, so that does not seem to be cause.
Did you reload the plex/web app from the server or are you using app.plex.tv ?
Don’t really understand question. PMS runs on RPi. I access server content via LAN using either Safari or Firefox running on Mac Catalina. When I do so, the Plex window in the browser at the Tools General page periodically tells me there is an update available. When I check the version, it the exact same version I already have.
firefox … it does weird things.
Personally, I ignore the thing. I’ve read the code and it’s right but something in the browsers says otherwise.
I’ve seen chrome get stupid too.
I can’t explain this. If you can tolerate it, do so. I would.
