There is so many ways to pick our favorite musics, it would be nice to have a section where we can pin our favorites genre/styles/albums etc… So we can quickly save it and get back to it when we want without going back to the library menu.
On Plex we have the “On Deck” section that keeps what’s active, but music is different since we’re going back more often on the same genre/styles/albums etc…
Sounds like Smart Collections to me.
Collection is a good way to organize your music when your on PMS but you cannot do that when you’re on Plexamp. You can create playlist inside plexamp but you cannot add the playlists or collections to the home screen. The idea is really to have a section on the Plexamp home screen to add your favorites. Favorites could be a collection, a playlist or anything else. It would just be nice to have a way to have control or quick access on the Plexamp home screen for stuff that we care about.
Just catching up… Plex has added an option to customize the home screen of Plexamp. Aside of configuring the hub order you can also add and customize all kind of objects to the home screen – incl. collections.
This feature has been added with Plexamp 4.6.0. With that in mind, I consider this particular suggestion to be implemented.
