The problem: I can pin individual Album Collections to the Plexamp homescreen on mobile, but cannot find a way to pin a list of all my Album Collections in one widget.
I can still access the list through a few taps in the Library tab, but I think being able to surface a list List/Gallery of your Collections on the homescreen would be a wonderful customization feature and save me a few taps on a regular basis.
If there is already a way to do this and I can’t just figure it out, please let me know! Thanks <3
Environment: Plexamp on Android
You can already publish existing collections to the Home Screen.
- Open the collection
- Click the „Add to Homescreen“ button
- Name the Homescreen hub and decide how it should be displayed (e.g. as gallery) — this can subsequently be edited
- After you’re done, you can customize where the hub is displaying on the Home Screen in Plexamp‘s settings:
Settings > Experience > Home Screen
Side note:
You can do this from the library hub for any filtered view, without creating a collection first.
Thanks Tom, appreciate the message, but I understand how to do that already and what I’m requesting is different.
When you do that, the homepage widget displays all the albums within that one particular Album Collection. That’s helpful for sure, but I’m asking for something one step more meta than that.
What I’m requesting: the ability to add a widget to the homescreen that shows all your Album Collections in one place. Not the albums within them, but simply lists the Album Collections much like how the “Recent Playlists” widget displays the playlists themselves. I refer to my Album Collections frequently and it’d be helpful to be able to surface them right on the homescreen.
