I would love a feature that lets Plex server owners “feature” content to the users so that when things are added to libraries they aren’t buried in 30 other things. I find myself removing the file and re adding it JUST so users can see it on the homepage when they log in. I know the app has a recently released section. That’s awesome. But a customizational shelf that the server owner can re order and add and remove stuff would be amazing hands down. My most wanted feature other than adding tools to control / restrict shared users with more (like how frequently they use the server)

Take a look at Tautulli, https://tautulli.com/.
It has a Newsletter Agent that can send an e-mail to your users with a list of recently added movies, shows, etc.
Not what you’re seeking, but it is a way to notify your users of new content.
