I often experience that the Plex meadia server just can’t figure out what movie has been added. Doing a manual search usually ends in disappointment, despite copy/pasting title from IMDB.
So how about an ability to enter a direct URL or movie number from IMDB, in the Plex web gui?
You can already do that.
You can also include the IMDb ID into the folder name.
In addition there’s an existing suggestion asking to use the full IMDb URL to fix a match – though that suggestion isn’t particularly popular (zero votes as of today). I take it most users are happy with the options available (as described by Otto).
Hi there, I did not know that one could use the tt-number (it doesn’t say anywhere). Thank you for that tip - just tried it, and it works
