Hello - trying to match content from IMDB is not working at all - quite frustrating. As I understand it, I should be able to manually point to IMDB content simply by using imdb-xxxxxxx through the match function. Despite it being valid at IMDB.com, Plex tells me “No Matches Found”. I’ve even gone the step of naming both my folder and filename with {imdb-xxxxxxx} and this does not work either. For discussion, one of the movies I’m trying to add is:
Name - Salem’s Lot
Year - 2004
IMDB link - Salem's Lot (TV Mini Series 2004) - IMDb
Folder Structure
\Movies\Salems Lot {imdb-tt0355987}\Salems Lot{imdb-tt0355987}.mkv
The match function is trying to use a version from 2023. When I try to override and use 2004 as the year, I get a list of content that isn’t even close to correct. Separate, but maybe related, is I cannot choose any other Agent other than “Plex Movie” in the agent drop down box. In settings->Manage->Libraries->Movies->Advanced, I’ve tried changing the Agent in here to The Movie Database several times. After clicking Save Changes I get a message to “Upgrade Library” which I do. Doesn’t seem to do anything other than resetting the Agent back to “Plex Movie”. This should be a much easier process.
